In general, young people prefer to live in the city and not in the countryside. Townsfolk consider themselves superior to those who live in village, thinking that they are backward. The fact that you live in a village doesn't mean you are a peasant. There are so many advantages to living in a village, especially if it is near by Iași.
   On the one hand, you can build a house exactly to your liking and that looks great inside and outside; while apartments look good inside and on the outside all looks the same. Not to mention the garden; the village gives you the opportunity of having your own crop of vegetables, fruit trees and even animals. Another benefit would be less pollution, as well as the noise of cars that is not as dense as în the city; the atmosphere is quieter. In addition, children can play outside being much safer than in the city. Being a more secluded area where there are not many cars running and, also, there are not many strangers around, the village gives children the opportunity to play in the street.
   On the other hand, there are also disadvantages to living in a village. The most important drawback is the distance. You lose more time commuting, for example when you go to school or work. But if you live in a village near by Iași and you own a car, you can get there very easily. Another disadvantage could be unpaved roads, but in most places these are asphalted.
   In conclusion, living in a village near by Iași is more difficult because of the distance, but it is quieter and more beautiful at the same time.
