A relationship is a communion within two people who have strong feelings for each other. A relationship is based on trusting each other, expressing love and affection and on communication. In my opinion, a long distance relationship is not a healthy, safe one.
       Firstly, as long as a relationship is based on expressing love and affection, a long distance relationship does not provide you with that anymore. For example, most importantly, you do not get to spend time with your partner, you can no longer feel their love and care that you feel when they hold you in their arms. Also, you do not get to keep yourself connected to your partner, due to the lack of well communication, thing that may lead you to lose trust in your love one and will certainly make you feel lonely, sad and maybe betrayed.
       Secondly, staying away from your partner increases the possibility of cheating. As long as it is natural to feel the need for affection and love and physical connection, not meeting your partner will make them wish for somebody else who can provide them with those needs. Whenever temptation will knock at their door, after a certain period of time, they will not think twice before saying “come in”.
       It is true that there are cases when one of the partners has to leave the country to work abroad, for example, and they keep in touch and manage to get over the distance, but if the situation remains the same for a long period of time, there is a high chance that their relationship will not last for much longer.
       In conclusion, in order to keep your relationship safe and out of troubles, avoid staying away from each other for a long period of time.
