Breastfeeding is the natural way a mother nurtures her child, but lately doing it in public uncovered has been deeply frowned upon by some individuals. Should women really cover up when they do one of nature's most basic action?
On one hand, there is no reason why they should, since the a woman' s chest is not a sexual organ. Breasts have been overly sexualized by society and this is why women are not allowed to uncover them. But as I mentioned, there is nothing sexual about breasts. Plus, it's a women's right to feed her child whenever it's needed.
On the other hand, since they are overly sexualised, many people feel uncomfortable seeing a woman uncover herself and some of these individuals may even harass that female. Hence, that woman might feel discomfort herself and feel endangered. That is why some special public places should be built in order for females to breastfeed safely and without bothering the public.
In conclusion, there is nothing wrong with a woman breastfeeding in public, but some measures should be taken for both the mothers and publics comfort.
