Politics are the cause of a lot of many heated debates in society. Young people represent the next generation, a spark of hope, and with their influence we could make a world where people accept the way politics are held. But, should the average teenager care about it?
On the one hand, young people are more keen on learning new things. With this will of becoming more aware of the world they are living in and the ease of finding about it with the use of the internet, it's the it is best time for a teen to learn about this subject in hopes they can make a change soon enough. Further on, a young mind's opinion is more open to changing ideas and coming to a general solution, while old people are generally more conservative. This makes them the most adequate people to judge and discuss about a topic as delicate as politics. Wielding both a desire to learn and the ability to adapt and change, proves teens as key players in the future of politics.
On the other hand, a teen may feel too much responsability is responsibility being put in his their shoulders. The pressure of being the change the future requires and having to do the research to be able to become that can be too much for a young person's mind to handle. The average teen won't will not find himself looking into politics too often as it is quite difficult to fully grasp everything that has to do with it, and placing this huge burden of being in tune with what goes on in the world all the time might be asking them too much. Lastly, teens are generally interested in many different topics, with a large amount of them not having anything to do with politics. So, if they can change the world in other ways too, why put their focus on this singular topic?
In conclusion, young people have the ability to change the future, and their involvement can help make the world a better place. However, making them focus on just politics is not only putting adding a stress factor to their daily live life, but it also disregards other topics the teen can be invested in which can still impact society.
