The first thing that people judge about you is your looks. But what we all learn from life is that so well known expression: ”Do not judge a book by its cover.”. We are surprised to learn that even the most perfect looking girl in school can be ugly on the inside, and vice versa. But the thing that society didn’t taught us is if a modest appearance is as good or even better than the worshiped perfection.

In the first place, when we are talking about girls it is obvious that most of the attention is on the curvy and very attractive ones. This fact can be also a disadvantage for these girls and an advantage for the average looking ones. It is true that attention makes us feel good, but when it’s too much, it’s too much. Normal girls have the chance to walk on streets without feeling many dangers when it comes to men around them, as the other kind of girls got them covered with their excessive beauty.

In the same way, girls that have average appearance receive attention mostly only from mannerly men that really want to love them the way they are, so they don’t have to worry about their beauty as they get older and older. To say it straight, being not so good looking on the oustide gives us the chance to know who stays with us for who we are, and who truly loves our soul, not our body.

In the second place, looking good may help us in different situations: when we apply for a job, when we want to get rid of a fine, and so on. It seems like people have a weakness for beauty, thing proved by the fact that most of the successful and worshiped artists around the world are good looking only and less are there just because of their talent. The first thing we admire is beauty and then we see the talent and finally venerate it too. So it is true that beauty matters at an important point in life, but if we have nothing to complete it with we fail -that if we don’t become models-.

In conclusion, excessive beauty has its advantages and disadvantages, just as an average appearance does. A lot of beauty brings us unwanted attention and has the tendency to make people feel bad and inferior around us, but also offers privileges from time to time. A normal kind of beauty serves us with the amount of attention it’s required, attracts only a few kinds of people that are mostly nice to us, but can get in the way of our succes, though, not all the time. So it comes to the desires of each one of us and to the way we would like to live our lives as so to decide which way it’s better to be.
