Once a year there is a big carnival coming into the city. People from far and wide come to see all those amazing animals and actors. Everyone loves the carnival and seriously now, how could you not love it? There are a lot of creatures like white tigers or elephants brought from Africa, dolphins and lions. The people working at the carnival are always cheerful and the shows are just spectacular: from people eating swords on fire to acrobats.
Everything seems like a dream at the carnival. Well, probably because it is a dream; a dream that will be killing you.
You see, once you enter through that colorful gate that is right at the end of the Bakery street, you feel at ease, you feel like nothing outside the carnival matters. It's like your soul is free of everything that bothers you.
Betty felt the same way once she entered the carnival. She was 14 years old when she first went to this magic.al....... place. Altough she was just a child, she felt like the carnival had some sort of power that attracted her. It was just like those colourful tents were softly calling her name and were telling her to never leave again. She still remembers how happy she was that day. She spend all her time watching those amazing shows and eating popcorn and cotton candy. Wherever she looked, people would smile at her like they were trying to tell her to never leave. That day lasted forever. the night never came and Betty  kept playing and playing and with every moment that passed she felt like nothing really mattered. It's like your soul is free of everything that bothers you.
She played a lot of games, she watched every show that day. Every hour there would be a dancing contest and women wearing gorgeous and elegant dresses would start moving around a beautiful paved alley. Betty was amazed at how much fun there was. But still, she felt like somthing was missing. She wondered what it could be so she decided that she should go back and see what it is was. As she walked to the gate she ....had....... entered, she noticed that everybody that was once smiling to her was now staring and watching her. She felt like the further she walked the heavier her body felt. She took a step after another and as she walked through the gate  she soon realised her body ..has.......... changed. She was taller and a lot more mature. The girl who was 14 when she entered the carnival was now 25 years old and as she turned around, the place she ..had......... entered dissapeared. What felt like one day was in fact 11 years and Betty was alone in a world where she knew nothing.

I love the idea you of the carnival being like a “trap”, especially because it sometimes that’s what it is. The way you made your way from a basic place to a magical one is awesome! I would really like to see what happens next.

Chills, literal chills! Great storytelling and such an amazing plotline and plot twist! I would be shocked if something like this ever happened to me! Really scary!! Keep up the good work!
